Skin care is probably one of my most talked about topics next to makeup because BOTH are important and you can’t have one without the other.
I came across a simple yet powerful cleansing technique via Twitter that would enhance your skin care routine that will give you swift and noticeable results.
This technique is called The 60 Second Rule. That means, ‘cleansing your face with your fingers for 60 seconds which allows the ingredients in the cleanser to actually work.’ It’s a very basic technique but ultimately a game changer. Most people are said to wash their face for 15 seconds max. The 60 Second Rule is said to soften the skin and it also dissolves sebum blockages better. Your skin texture & overall evenness improves.RELATED: The 10 Products I Use To Balance Acne Prone Skin
I’m guilty of taking cleansing my skin poorly after a night out and washing my face for at least 20 seconds max *LOL* However, since incorporating this new technique I have also noticed how even my complexion looks. 60 seconds really can feel like an eternity I feel better knowing that with this extra step in my routine, I’m going to have way better skin in the long run by being patient and allowing the cleansers to do all of the work for me by using them properly.
