I feel like everyone struggles with body confidence at some point in their lives but that doesn’t mean you have to stay there. With so many images of perfection projected on to the woman, it’s almost second nature to feel like you’re not good enough.
But the gag is, You Are MORE Than ENOUGH!
Don’t allow society to tell YOU how you’re supposed to feel about YOU. You were made perfectly in God’s image and he didn’t make ANY mistakes on you.
Knowing that I was made in God’s image was the gem I needed to hear during a sermon when I was a teen. After that, I slowly began to stop beating myself up about things people said were wrong with me. Having a high self-esteem didn’t come overnight and it didn’t happen just because I thought I looked like God. Not religious/ spiritual? That’s ok, you’re still perfect.
Being comfortable in your own skin is one of the most important things to achieve.

Here Are Some Ways to feel Confident in YOUR Skin:
*Walk around the House NAKED– No matter how you look in the nude, walk around the house/room and embrace what YOUR body looks like. This is my favorite thing to do now!
*Exercise– Don’t like how you look? What are you doing to change it? NO pity parties. Get ACTIVE! Not only will you begin to look great but you’ll mentally feel better.
*Write positive affirmations to yourself – Use a sticky note pad and write positive things to yourself and stick them in your room/bathroom.
*LISTEN to Beyonce!– Need a pick me up? Curate a Beyonce’ playlist. She will help you feel like the Bad B*tch you are
*Journal-In order to build self-esteem, you have to focus on shifting the negative to the positive. Write 5-10 things that you’re grateful for. (Oprah calls this a gratitude journal) This will help you shift your negative vibes and thoughts to positive ones.
*Unplug– Self-esteem, as it relates to social media, can go two ways; people can feel inadequate about themselves when looking at others in their feed or they can go the extreme and show off as a means to seek approval and further feed their lack of self-esteem. Take a week/month off of any social media and try to be more present in the moment.
*Truth is…– When ANYONE is mean or makes fun of you, 10/10 it’s because they feel that way about themselves and hate that YOU don’t feel that way about yourself. Keep smiling though.
